Adding a certificate

About this task

Use the Add operation to add a new certificate to the JRE certificate store.

To add a new certificate:

  1. Click Window > Preferences > Transformation Extender > Map > Security. The Security preferences pane opens.
  2. Under Security, click Manage Certificates. The Manage Certificates window opens.

The Store field displays the default location for the JRE certificate store. You cannot edit this field.

  3. In the File field, enter the name and path of the certificate. The contents of the certificate must be in DER format.
  4. In the Alias field, enter an alias name for the certificate. All certificate store activities use the associated aliases.
  5. Under Manage, display the Certificate list and select Add.
  6. When a confirmation message is displayed, click Yes.
The results of the operation are displayed beneath the Certificate list. A successful operation displays the following message:
    Certificate was added to keystore.
  7. If there is an error with the operation, for example, when the alias name is already in use, make the necessary changes, and then click Execute to resubmit the request.
  8. Click Close in the Manage Certificates window, and click OK in the Security preferences pane to save the changes.
